This group tour focuses on observing nocturnal wildlife, including spiders, frogs, snakes, and other insects. Participants will hike through the rainforest and a moderate fitness level is necessary. The guides will provide information about the local ecosystem and the adaptations of the creatures they encounter. Guides are equipped with specialized optics (Swarovski Spotting Scope

with iPad attachment and Echo Meter Touch 2 Pro Bat Detector). This is the only group tour in the area and sells out

ahead of time often so if you are planning a visit to the area, reservations are a necessity.

In one of the last truly wild areas of Costa Rica, the "gateway" to Corcovado National Park you will find beautiful Drake Bay. If you are going to the park, you will most likely be staying in this stunning area. The Corcovado National Park does not allow night tours but we have 2 options for herping night tours in the Drake Bay area. There is a private tour available one one side of the Bay and a group tour available on the other side of the bay so contact us to see which tour works best for you.
