Corcovado National Park is one of the most beautiful and wild places in Costa Rica.  It takes some doing to get here but you can arrive via flight, boat or driving (if you have a 4x4 and are fearless)! There are limited services and no ATMs in Drake Bay or Sierpe so you'll need to make ample planning before you arrive. The easiest way to get to the park and Caño Island is to access it from Drake Bay where you'll find accommodations of all different ranges available. Many lodges will be all-inclusive due to the remoteness.

You can access Drake Bay 3 ways: 1) Flight (easiest & fastest), 2) Boat from Sierpe (most economical) and 3) Driving (heavy duty 4x4 and for the seriously adventurous only)! The Corcovado National Park and Caño Island Biological Reserve require reservations and can sell out months in advance as the number of people allowed per day are limited. If you are considering a visit, make sure to reserve far in advance so you're not disappointed!  For the park you have the option of Sirena Ranger Station or San Pedrillo Ranger Station.

If you are going to spend your valuable time to get to this area, make sure you not only go to the park but you add in a night time jungle tour and a day out on the water to Caño Island, you won't be disappointed!
