GROUP TOUR: CAÑO ISLAND BIOLOGICAL RESERVE SNORKELING DAY TRIP
Caño Island Biological Reserve is one of the best snorkeling spots on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Caño island has approximately 300 hectares of land and 5,800 hectares of protected sea. We'll depart by boat from Bahía Ballena to Caño Island, on an exciting open-ocean voyage. If you're lucky and visit at the right time, you'll be able to observe majestic humpback whales during their migratory season, along with dolphins that frequent the area. Upon arrival at the island, you'll immerse yourself in a vibrant underwater world with two snorkeling sessions at different points along the biological reserve's reefs. Here, you'll have the opportunity to see a variety of marine life, including tropical fish, rays, reef sharks, and, if you're lucky, sea turtles.
This paradise is ideal for nature and snorkel lovers from ages 2 and up.
After the snorkeling sessions, we'll stop for a light lunch which can be enjoyed on the island or, weather permitting, upon our return to Marino Ballena National Park. This break will allow you to relax and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the island.
At the end of the tour, you can stay in the National Park to enjoy the beach or walk along the iconic Tail of the Whale.
You can enjoy the park as long as you like!
