PRIVATE TOURS: PUERTO VIEJO DE TALAMANCA
The Caribbean side of Costa Rica is like nowhere else in the rest of the country. It has a laid back vibe and the languages you'll hear are Patois, French, English and Spanish! You will feel like you're getting a two-for-one vacation when you include this area into your Costa Rican vacation. With warm clear waters and national parks taking up most of the coastline, it's a unique destination brimming with wildlife! It's still quite sparsely populated so the amount of animals to people are far above much of other popular destinations. Depending on the weather & wildlife activity, your guide will take you to one of the pristine nature reserves such as Las Guardianas Wildlife Refuge, Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge or Cahuita National Park.
In the day time you tend to see monkeys, sloths, birds and can check out the medicinal plants and ecology of the rainforest. At night, much of the wildlife that is hiding from the heat of the day comes to life! During the night hikes you can see mammals, snakes, frogs and insects in this bio-diverse are of Costa Rica. If you are here to go herping, let us know if you have a particular species you're trying to see so we can let the guide know...he knows where the herping hot spots are and many call home!
